Great success is achieved in hair transplantation applied with 2 different methods. People regain hair in their balding areas for a very long time after hair transplantation. When combined with methods such as hair transplantation and hair mesotherapy, the life of the transplanted hair increases. Both restoring the lost scalp area to its old healthy components and equipping the area with strong hair follicles turns into a permanent solution for many people.

Hair Transplant Treatment

Hair transplantation applications, which are most popular among men, are performed frequently today. This hair transplant process, which is easily applied to both men and women, is performed in clinics. Also, it satisfies the people who undergo the operation by providing permanent and definitive solutions to baldness. This procedure is a surgical procedure and is completely in compliance with health rules. In particular, people gain their self-confidence in the face of the miraculous image encountered after hair transplantation. People who see themselves differently and like them while looking in the mirror are quite satisfied with the operation.

How to do hair transplantation?

Hair transplantation is done in 2 different ways. Both methods are used both in the world and in our country. The first of these methods; FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant). But the most used technique is; It is FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). This method, which leaves very precise and permanent solutions especially in the post-hair transplantation process, stands out as the most popular and preferred method. FUE is performed in accordance with local anesthesia. It is taken one by one from the nape area and between two ears and transferred to the bald area.

Hair Transplant Methods

There are two hair transplant methods. In these methods, while the area where the hair is taken and the way of transplantation are the same, the methods differ from each other in terms of taking hair follicles. Since the hair follicles are taken by different methods, it is possible to say that the two techniques differ from each other in terms of their application time. The two techniques called FUT and FUE techniques are the techniques that are actively applied in hair transplantation centers today. Today, we can say that many people apply one of these two techniques and that significant improvements have been made in areas with thinning hair.

FUT Technique – Strip Scalp Removal Method

The FUT technique is an older method than the FUE technique. After this technique is applied, there is a very thin scar on the applied area. However, we can say that the technique is as successful as the FUE technique. In the FUT technique, the hair follicles taken from the scalp as a strip are then transplanted to the recipient area one by one. The area where the hair is taken is called the receiving area. This area is in the nape of the neck and the ears are determined by aligning. This area, where the hair follicles are taken as a strip, is genetically more resistant than other parts of the head.

After the procedure, the scalp is sutured and a 9-centimeter long scar is formed in the area. The FUT technique is a faster technique than the FUE technique because the hair follicles are taken as a whole in the FUT technique. The planting process can take up to 5 hours. With 3 or 4 sessions of transplantation in total, most of the bald areas are restored to their old appearance.

Patients should not forget that there is a limit for healthy hair follicles that can be taken from the back of the head. With the FUT technique, it is possible to transfer up to 1700 hair follicles during hair transplantation. In a single session, it is possible to cover a significant part of the area with hair loss with this number. However, it is important for people to be realistic in their hair transplant expectations so that they do not experience disappointment.

FUE Technique – Single Hair Root Removal Technique

The FUE technique is another hair transplant method that is applied very effectively in hair transplant centers in our country. We can say that this method is a newer method compared to the FUT technique and it is more preferred in terms of being a scar-free method because the hair follicles are taken from the donor area one by one. However, since the number of hair follicles transferred in a single session in the FUE method is less than the FUT technique, the process can take almost 3 times more time to complete than the FUT technique.

In the FUE technique, the hair follicles taken from the recipient area are placed one by one in the donor area. The ongoing process, the hair on the transplanted roots is shed and after a while, healthy hair starts to grow from this area. In both methods, hair transplantation will show success for a minimum of 3 months. It can take up to 1 year to complete the process in a healthy way.

The FUE technique is a longer method compared to the FUT technique, as it is a method that does not trace and where hair follicles are taken one by one. In this method, up to 8 hours per session is also possible. Our country is among the countries that best apply the FUE technique in hair transplantation treatment.
