The procedure begins with the application of a local anesthetic to ensure patient comfort. A punch biopsy is performed to extract adipose tissue containing stem cells. This small sample—typically 60–70 cc of fat tissue—is taken from the area behind the ear using a circular blade to remove a 2.5 mm cylindrical sample of tissue. The extracted fat is then fragmented into particles smaller than 50 microns.

The harvested tissue is then processed in a centrifuge, where it undergoes rapid spinning to isolate stem cells from other components.
3. Activation with
Proteins
Certain growth factors, cytokines, and signaling proteins may be introduced to "activate" or guide the behavior of the stem cells.

The purified stem cell solution is then strategically injected into the scalp using fine microinjections.
