Hit the Road Jack, for Hair Implant

Celebrity Hair Implants Although the terms “hair implant” and “hair transplant” sound similar to a concept (they are both used to fix male pattern shedding), they are actually referring to two different ways. When getting a hair implant uses the technique which implants synthetic hair into the scalp of oneself, a hair transplant uses the technique which removes hair follicles from a particular part of the scalp and implants them into a different area.

However, with both methods the one may cover shedding spots in his hair and fix the loss; which method he wants to imply remains completely up to him. Of course, about this situation, before getting a hair transplant or hair implant, consulting the doctor to learn what is the most suitable among both methods with their pros and cons are recommended. Today, growing numbers of celebrities have hair transplants after certain points of their life; as they are human beings, their hair sheds too.

Despite more and more celebrities choose to have hair implants or hair transplants every year, for some reason, their operations are still taboo subjects. One of them is Jamie Foxx; as a great actor, singer-songwriter, comedian, television presenter, and record producer, he experienced severe male pattern shedding in his 40s. He rose to fame in the comedy show “In Living Color” (1990 – 1994), and after that, he played in numerous Tv shows and movies until 2004.

In 2004, with his breathtaking performance in “Ray” (which he acted Ray Charles), and Collateral (2004) he won two Academy awards. When he was about to be at the highest point in his career, he realized that he had to something about his hair, or else he was going to be bald. First notice through his hair revealed about 2007, fans realized the change in his head and then it turned out he had hair implant. These days, he has a full head of hair, and he is likely to remain his charismatic appearance for a long time as well.

Dracula: Two Triangles at the Front

We all know the young singer and reality television personality Jacob “Jake” Quickenden from “The X Factor” (2012 – 2014), “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” (2014), and “Dancing on Ice” (2014). As a young celebrity (and a semi-pro footballer in his home town of Scunthorpe), the biggest fear of Quickenden is losing his hair with shedding.

He indicated this situation as “I was terrified… I’ve got a hairline like Dracula with two triangles at the front”; unfortunately, his biggest fear came true and he was about to be bald before he is 30. After long chats with his clinic about his anxiety and paranoia toward his thinning hair, finally he decided to have a hair implant when he was 28 years old. He is now 32 years old and very happy with his hair; he loved his new hairstyle so much that he even said “I want to get married with hair.”

Celebrity Cosmetic Operation

When someone gets some cosmetic operation towards his / her hair, s/he is likely to be out of the spotlights, especially if he or she is a celebrity. However, Australian actor and singer Jason Donovan appears to feel proud of his decision, and very open about it. Although his hair before and after the operation he had been pretty remarkable, he decided to show people what modern techniques could achieve, and maybe he could help some other men by inspiring them.

Albums

He is mostly known for the album “Ten Good Reasons”, which was the highest-selling album in the UK in 1989, and “Neighbours” (1986 – 1989), Australian television soap opera. Back then, until the hair transplant of legendary music icon Elton John in the 1990s, there was a stigma surrounding any kind of cosmetic treatment. However, after Elton John’s remarkable change in the spotlight, many celebrities gathered their courage to have hair treatments. Jason Donovan, who is 52 years old now, was one of them, and he indicated his operation as “’It’s something I did for just for myself (…) and I am really happy with the results.”

Might Affect the Career

“I began losing hair several years ago, I felt it could affect my career” these words are said by James Nesbitt, British actor, and television presenter. He is known for “Waking Ned” (1998), “Lucky Break” (2001), and “Murphy’s Law” (2001–2007), which made him gain multiple awards. When his hair started shedding, it became a major concern for him like a lot of men who have to face up the same situation. Because he is in the public eye, and hair loss could affect his career prospects, he decided to get a hair implant without losing time.

According to him, his surgeon said he was a good candidate for hair implant surgery, and this made him more comfortable before he underwent the operation. Then, after he saw the great results with his surgery and the new hairstyle has attracted by media, he decided to use this positive outcome to inspire and help men who suffer from similar conditions. The most important advice towards the men is “You should also be totally confident (…) and research carefully, as I did.”

Alexander James McLean, aka AJ McLean, is an American singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, and model; he is also a member of the vocal group the Backstreet Boys, which was incredibly popular in the 1990s and early 2000s. His career includes many albums, singles, Tv shows, and movies; especially his band still earn millions today while touring their reunion show. As a member of the Backstreet Boys, he has always looked fabulous with his edgier and well-shaped hairstyles on stage.

However, in time he had to face up with negative effects of all these cosmetics he used to maintain his style: hair shedding. When he reached his 30s, his shedding started to gain speed; by the time the Backstreet Boys were going back on tour and he wanted to look his best, then he decided to undergo surgery. He shared the results of the surgery with great enthusiasm on his social media accounts: “I couldn’t be happier thank u dr G!!!!” Celebrity Hair Implants
